Mr. Roger Lewis “Mullett” Oliver age 93 passed away Monday December 9, 2013 at the Evans Memorial Hospital. The Tattnall County native had lived in Collins most of his life. He was a truck driver for many years. Mr. Roger was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a member of the Flatwoods Hunting Club and attended the Full Gospel Tabernacle in Collins. Mr. Oliver is preceded in death by his wife of 69yrs, Onida Johnson Oliver; daughter, Angel Oliver; parents, Marshall and Mary Oliver; sisters, Vesta Anderson, Velma Cannon, Annie Lee Cowart; brothers, Ottis, Clyde, and Bernice Oliver; grandson, Johnny Blaine Hightower; and a great great grandson, Brice Evans.
He is survived by his children, Lessie Mae (Larry) Collins, Naomi (Ray) Hightower and Tony (Adel) Oliver all of Collins; Grandchildren, Delores Williams, Mike Collins, Gina Gordy, Ladawn Williams, Sabrina Patterson, Tona Hightower, Anthony Oliver; great grandchildren, Wes Kirkland and Heather Kirkland, Travis, Charly, Shawn, Ryan, Garron, Katie, Kelly Dallas, Melissa, Megan, Jincy, Marshall and Gena; great great grandchildren, Joshua, Haden, Tucker, Scarlett, Jager and Bryson, Jenna Grace; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will begin at 6:00pm on Wednesday from the Reidsville Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted 3:00pm Thursday, December 12, 2013 from the Reidsville Chapel of Bradley B. Anderson Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Little Flock Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Carroll Oliver, Don Oliver, Ronnie Williams, Wiley Sumner, Michael Lynn and Mike Collins.
Honorary pallbearers will be the members of Flatwoods Hunting Club.
