Jesup
Mr. Ronald Hoover age 66, passed away Saturday, April 26, 2014 at Wayne Memorial Hospital surrounded by his family. The Colorado native had lived in Jesup, GA the last 18 years. Mr. Hoover served in the United States Army for seventeen and a half years as a Warrant Officer. After his retirement from active duty Army, he served in the Army Reserve. His career post military was an auto mechanic in Hinesville and Jesup. Mr. Hoover was a long time Mason. He thoroughly enjoyed music and singing. He was involved with two different bands and performed at many different venues including some in Germany while serving in the Army. Mr. Hoover best loved fishing. Woodworking, hunting, and making pottery were a few of his other hobbies. He is preceded in death by his father, Melvin Hoover; and his step-mother Betty.
He is survived by his wife, Janice Hoover; his sons and daughters-in-law, Sean and Martha Hoover of Rincon, GA, Ronald Jr. and Maggie Hoover of Terrell, TX, and Eli Johnson of Brunswick, GA; his daughters and sons-in-law, Rhonda and Victor Church of Donnelly, Idaho, Robin and Jerry Andes of Hinesville, GA, and Kirstin Johnson of Jesup; grandchildren, Zach, Amanda, Elizabeth, Malachi, Siriaco, Gabriel, Wyatt, Christian, and a baby boy grandson on the way; great grandchildren, Sierra, and Adrianna Rose; his mother, Ruth Almquist; his brother, Herbert Hoover of Longmont, CO; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Patricia Stroedel of Longmont, CO, and Cathy and Bob LeDoux of Fort Lupton, CO. and his aunt and uncle, Lola and Luther Young; twelve nieces and nephews also survive.
Memorial funeral services will be held at a later date.
