Ronnie Rae Sherrell, age 60, entered eternal rest on January 17, 2014 surrounded by his loving family and under the compassionate care of Pine Point Hospice after an extended illness. The Monticello, Ga. native was a professional painting contractor for much of his career. Ronnie was a devoted loving husband, father, and Papa who loved to go fishing and taking the family on camping trips. He was an active member of Barfield United Baptist Church. Above all, he loved spending as much time with his family as possible; most especially his grandbabies. He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers, and 3 sisters.
Ronnie is survived by his loving wife, Faye Sherrell; 3 daughters, Michelle (David) Konteh, Stephanie Cox, and Tonya (Wil) Wiggins; 4 grandbabies, T.J. Konteh, Damian Konteh, Katelyn Cox, and Allie Rae Wiggins; 2 sisters, and numerous other relatives.
Visitation will be held Sunday, January 19, 2014 from 4-6 p.m. at the Barfield United Baptist Church.
A Celebration of his Life will be held Monday, January 20, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. from the Barfield United Baptist Church with the Rev. Bruce Flener officiating. Burial will follow in the Barfield United Baptist Church cemetery.
