Roy Brice Walker, Jr., age 56, passed away on Friday, September 6, 2024, at his residence. He was born on June 26, 1968, in Miami and had lived in Glennville most of his life. Roy was a devoted and talented self-employed automobile mechanic, a profession that he cherished and devoted many years of his life to.
Roy’s passions extended beyond his work; he had a deep love for watching NASCAR racing and enjoyed fishing, activities that allowed him to connect with nature and find joy in simplicity.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Carol Walker Sr.; his son, Justin Walker; and his sister, Belinda Dukes.
Roy is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Alexis Blair (Chas Hendrix) of Claxton, Angel and Cody Anderson, Amber and Jacob Bailey, all of Reidsville. He is also survived by his siblings, Debbie (John) North of Claxton, Melissa (Lamar) Cook of Hinesville, Ruben (Crissy) Melendez of Atlanta, and Shawn (Madeline) Melendez of Glennville. His grandchildren, Bailey Blair, Brody Blair, Raelynn Anderson, and Finley Anderson; several nieces and nephews
Visitation for Roy will be held on September 14, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM, both taking place at The Glennville Funeral Home with Bishop James Holland officiating.
