Roy Durrence, Jr. age 69 passed away Thursday, February 22, 2018 at his residence under the care of Bethany Hospice. He was born in Evans County on September 13, 1948 to the late Roy and Mary Martin Durrence.  Mr. Roy was a US Army veteran and had lived in Tattnall County for most of his life. He was a farmer who loved to hunt, fish and listen to country music. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Shawna Scott; brothers, Freddie Durrence and Danny Durrence.

He is survived by his companion of 25 years, Theresa Jackson of Reidsville; siblings, Diane (Tommy) Reddish of Reidsville, Henry (Nancy) Durrence of Daisy, Linda (Bill) Smith of Vidalia; also survived by numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Graveside services will be conducted 1:00pm, Tuesday, February 27, 2018 from the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery with Chaplain Eric Hogstrom officiating. Military honors will be rendered by the US Army.
