Ruby Harden, age 61, passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at The Oaks-Bethany in Vidalia. She was born in Dayton, Ohio on June 30, 1963, to Marvin Edward and Dora Frances Maze Schul and had lived in Toombs County for the past 30 years.
Throughout her life, Ruby was a source of joy for those around her. She had a unique talent for making others laugh, often turning ordinary moments into cherished memories. Her playful personality shone through in her hobbies, which included painting art and riding horses. These passions reflected her vibrant spirit and her appreciation for the beauty in the world.
Ruby was deeply proud of her faith and took great joy in sharing her love for God. She often spoke about Jesus to anyone who would listen, and her devotion was evident to all who knew her.
Ruby is a member of Rocky Creek Baptist Church and is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Edward Allen Schul.
She is survived by her husband, Royce Harden of Lyons; daughters and sons in law, Elizabeth and Benjamin Pellor of Crawfordville, Fl and April and Tim Sauseville of Middletown, Ohio; brothers, Bruce L. Schul of Odom and Marvin D. (Martha) Schul of Cedar Crossing; sisters, Ellen (Durelle) Harden of Lyons and Carol Underwood of Faulkville; grandchildren, Joshua, Ethan, and Zoe Pellor, Christopher and Brianna Sauseville; several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held to honor Ruby's life on April 5, 2025, at Rocky Creek Baptist Church in Lyons, GA, beginning at 11:00 AM with Reverend Ricky Dyal officiating.
Low Country Cremation and Burial has the honor to serve the Harden family.
