With a heavy heart, we announce the passing of Samuel Miller, Jr., who departed from this world on May 30, 2024, in Reidsville, Georgia. Born on March 22, 1948, in Monticello, Georgia, Sammy was the beloved son of the late Lulal McQuarter and Samuel Miller, Sr.
Sammy received his education from the Broward County School System in Pompano, Florida, laying the foundation for a life filled with hard work and dedication. As an adult, he pursued various roles, notably working with different companies as a driver of dump trucks. Whether hauling dirt and rocks or delicate dairy products, Sammy approached his work with unwavering commitment and professionalism.
However, Sammy's true joys were found in the simple pleasures of life. He cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren, finding solace and happiness in their laughter and presence. An avid outdoorsman, he found peace in tending to his yard, where he spent countless hours cutting grass and ensuring everything was in its place.
In 2005, Sammy found love and companionship in Minerva, whom he met in Statesboro, Georgia. Together, they embarked on a journey of love and partnership, later founding the S & M Car Wash, a testament to their shared dreams and ambitions.
Sammy was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Mario Miller, and his siblings: Betty Taylor, Barbara Mosley, Sandra Lee Miller, James Albert Hayes, Willie Miller, Jimmy Lee Martin, and Sylvester Miller. Though they have left this world, their memories will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew them.
He leaves behind his devoted wife, Minerva, of Reidsville, Georgia, along with his son Keith Emanuel Wedlow of Asheville, North Carolina and daughter Samantha Miller of Deerfield, Florida. Sammy's legacy of hard work, love, and dedication will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.
In this time of mourning, let us find comfort in the memories we shared with Sammy and the love he bestowed upon us. May his soul rest in eternal peace. The family will receive friends beginning at 12:00pm on Saturday, June 8, 2024 with the funeral service to follow at 1:00pm from the Chapel of Low Country Cremation and Burial.
Low Country Cremation and Burial has the honor to serve the family of Samuel King.
