Sandra Faye Cruz

August 23, 1954 — September 9, 2021

Reidsville

Sandra Faye Cruz, age 67, passed away on September 9, 2021, at Serenity Hospice in Dublin.  The Reidsville native has lived much of her life in the Tattnall County area.  Until her health began to fail, she worked for many years at the Medical College of Georgia where she would serve in a variety of departments at the hospital.  When she wasn’t working, she could often be found in the kitchen making a wide variety of foods.  In most recent years, she perfected a “Mexican bar-b-que” that everyone in the family loved.  Even as her health continued to decline, she would often cook from her wheelchair.  She was very talented with her hands and would make flower arrangements and sew.  In later years, she would become an avid collector of jewelry.  Most weeks would find multiple shipments coming to her house!  Above all else however, she was a devoted member of Reidsville Church of God, and she loved her church home and family.  A sweet and gentle spirit called home to meet her Lord; Sandra will be sorely missed by all who knew her.  She is preceded in death by her father, Earl Willoughby and her mother and stepfather, Betty Nell, and Roy Bazemore.

Left to cherish precious memories of a life together is her husband Cipriano Cruz; three sons, Keith (Lydia) Driggers, Ravin Brown, and Rubin Brown; two daughters, Kimberly Driggers and Katie (Willie James) Smith; four brothers, Michael Bazemore, Jim Willoughby, Glen Willoughby, and John Willoughby; five sisters, Vicky Colwell, Brenda Cruz, Gail Mosley, Judy Smith, and Darlene Oliver; a special longtime friend, Patti Passmore; eleven grandchildren, Brittany (Jamie Dixon) Driggers, Brandon (Mariah) Driggers, Ricardo (Sapphire) Jackson, Ledaisha (James) Allen, Kaleigh Holmes, Justin (Emily) Smith, Jayden (Kimberly) Smith, Adalin Miracle Dome, Gustavo Brown, Carlos Brown, and Haven Brown; eight great grandchildren, Haiden and Hunter Allen, Braylee Waters, Kayden Dubberly, Cali Driggers, Colby Daniels, Jai Pfifer, Jr., and Jyson Pfifer; numerous other relatives and friends also survive.
