Glennville
Sarah Collins Swindell, age 78 passed away
Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at Ogeechee Area Hospice
in Statesboro. The Long County native had lived
there many years before moving to Glennville in
1984. She was a homemaker that loved to sew,
crochet and do puzzle books. Mrs. Swindell
was a member of Pigot Branch Missionary Baptist
Church. She was preceded in death by her husbands,
Fred W. Collins and Harry Swindell; son, Mike Collins;
daughter, Melinda Collins Mosley.
She is survived by her son, Fred Collins, Jr. of Glennville;
daughters, Elvie (Johnny) Powell and Sarah Kathy Collins
all of Glennville; sister, Myrte Baxter of Ludowici; 8
grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great
grandchild and numerous other relatives also survive.
Visitation will begin at 6:00pm Thursday, April 10, 2014 at Bradley B. Anderson Funeral Home, Glennville Chapel.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00pm, Friday, April 11, 2014 at Pigot Branch Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Jimmy Bargeron officiating. Interment will follow at Pigot Branch Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Joe Baxter, Patrick Baxter, Dewayne Powell, Dylan Duffany, Jason Gordy,Kenny Moon.
Honorary pallbearers will be Stacey Baxter, Dink Moody, Bradley B. Anderson,
Sheriff Craig Nobles.
