Obituary
Sgt. Steven Matthew Coghlan, age 30 of Glennville passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2012 from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. Steven was a native of Idaho and had lived in Atlanta and Augusta most of his life, before moving to Glennville nine years ago. He was a member of the Georgia National Guard and had previously served in Iraq. He was employed with GA. MATES. Sgt. Coghlan loved his family and his country above all else. He also had a love for his guns, computers, and playing video games.
Survived by his mother, Loretta Shellhamer of Glennville; father and step mother, Vernon E. and Heidi Coghlan of Goose Creek, SC.; son, Kalub Cannon of Toccoa, GA.; daughter, Rose Coghlan of Toccoa, GA; brother, Christopher Pyle of Orangeburg, SC; sister, Lynn Pyle of Langford, PA; step siblings, Wilhelmina, Jonah, Lily, Esther and Elijah all of Goose Creek and Charleston, SC; grandparents, Joseph and Martha Raley of Toccoa, GA. and Dorinda Coghlan of Augusta, GA; niece, Clowey Smith; nephew Jayden Lopez, Christopher James Pyle, Jr.;
Also survived by 1 aunt, 8 uncles and several cousins.
Visitation and Funeral Services
Visitation will begin 6:00 P.M., Thursday, January 19, 2012 at Bradley B. Anderson Funeral Home, Glennville
Chapel. Funeral Services will be conducted 12:00 P.M., Friday, January 20, 2012 at Bradley B. Anderson Funeral Home, Glennville Chapel with the Reverend Roger Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery with full military honors rendered by the Georgia National Guard.
