Sharon (Thompson) Hammett, age 66 passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at Community Hospice. She was born in Augusta, Georgia to Freddie Thompson and Josie Poole. She was a native of Toombs County. She loved the Lord very much and while her health was good, she attended First Baptist Church of Vidalia. Everywhere she went she would spread the love of Jesus. Her favorite saying was "I love you, Jesus loves you, stay for Jesus". She will be truly missed by her family and friends, but our loss is Heavens gain. She is preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Diane Hardwick, Patsy Rice and Glenda Thompson.

Sharon is survived by her two sons; Allen Morgan and Matthew Hammett both of Lyons, Georgia: her two daughters, Amanda Porter of Texas and Jessica Williams of Florida; brother, Wayne Thompson of Lyons, Georgia; grandchildren; Clay, Carlie and Chasie Morgan of Lyons, Georgia, Charity, Hannah and Tabitha Porter of Texas, Ian Williams of Florida; great grandchildren; Levi, Caroline and Amelia Morgan of Lyons, Georgia.

Services will be private.

Low Country Cremation and Burial are serving the Hammett family.
