Ms. Sharon Steinmetz Miller, age 82 passed away Friday, November 29, 2019 at Bryan County Health and Rehabilitation in Richmond Hill. She was born on March 1, 1937 in Evansville, Indiana to Albert and Mildred Nordstrom Steinmetz. She had lived in Glennville for most of her life. Ms. Sharon was a nurse at Glenvue Nursing Home retiring after 25 years of service. She was of the Baptist Faith and enjoyed crafting, sewing, and gardening. Her favorite hobby, however, was decorating for holidays and special occasions. No matter the event; everything from birthdays to Easter, Christmas to Thanksgiving, Sharon would certainly "set the mood" for the event with her always spot on decorations. Her efforts in decorating was an outward expression of the inner love and devotion she held for her precious family. She is preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Lynn Steinmetz and Jackie Bilder; and a grandson, Randy D. Miller, II.
She is survived by her children, Randy (Shari) Miller of Louisville, KY and Dana (Keith) Stanfield of Glennville; grandsons, Brandon Stanfield and Justin Stanfield; 6 great-grandchildren; also survived by several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will begin at 5:00pm, Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at the Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00am Wednesday, December 4, 2019 from the Chapel of Glennville Funeral Home with Pastor John Holbrook officiating. Interment will follow at Glennville Memorial Gardens.
