Sharon Louise (Currie) Thompson

Mrs. Sharon Currie Thompson, age 60, passed away Thursday, March 24, 2022 at Memorial Health Meadows Hospital in Vidalia.  She was born in Hialeah, Florida on August 2, 1961 to Donald and Kathleen Currie and had lived in Reidsville most of her life.  Sharon was a registered nurse for over 40 years working at Meadows Hospital, Tattnall Memorial Hospital and currently was employed with Camelia Health and Rehabilitation in Claxton.  She was the happiest when she was spending time with her grandchildren.  Mrs. Sharon is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Mark Currie.

She is survived by her husband of 44 yrs, Mike Thompson of Reidsville; children, Heather Thompson Howard and Brett (Meagan) Thompson all of Reidsville; sister, Donna Currie of Reidsville; sister-in-law, Elaine Currie of Reidsville; grandchildren, McKaela Howard, Haleigh Thompson, Hannah Thompson and Breagan Thompson; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00am on Saturday, March 26, 2022 with the funeral services following at 11:00am from the Chapel of Low Country Cremation and Burial.  Burial will be private.
