Cobbtown,
Sheila Darlene Groover age 57, passed away Saturday, December 26, 2020 at Evans Memorial Hospital in Claxton. She was born in Savannah on January 26, 1963 to Raymond and Annie Groover and had lived in Cobbtown most of her life. She had worked at several convenience stores during her working career with the most recent being Cliffton’s in Metter. Sheila enjoyed horseback riding and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of Lighthouse Pentecostal Holliness Church in Collins and is preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Sarah Plymel.
She is survived by her children, Wesley (Alora) Plymel of Cobbtown and Michaela (Seth) Cox of Claxton;step children, Christopher Plymel of VA, Brittany Mitchell and Travis Mitchell both of NC, Dakota Sutton, Cassie Sutton and Cole Sutton all of Stillmore; brother, David (Marie) Groover of Nevils and a sister, Sharon G. (Greg) Fowler of NC; grandchildren, Daniel Ellrod, Shelby Plymel, and Oaklyn Cox; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Monday, December 28, 2020 from the hours of 6:00pm to 8:00pm from the Chapel of Low Country Cremation and Burial. Graveside funeral service will be conducted 2:00pm Tuesday at Little Flock Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with the Reverend Greg Smith officiating.
