Stacey Edward Holland

Stacey Holland, age 51, passed away on January 4, 2023, at his home surrounded by his loving family under the care of Agape Hospice.  The Jesup native lived most of his life in the Glennville area.  In his chosen home of Glennville, he would engage in several vocations: including managing the Time Saver and Texaco.  Additionally, during the height of “satellite dish” technology, Stacey owned his own satellite repair service and later, as “dishes” got smaller, he would work as an independent contractor installing for families and businesses all over the southeast.  Despite holding other jobs, his source of greatest pride was the 23+ years that he spent employed with various law enforcement agencies referring narcotics activity in his community for investigation and prosecution.  Stacey was a man that cared deeply for people and never met a stranger and as such wanted to see their lives improved, even if that sometimes meant they had to be “awakened” to doing the right thing by the law.  In his free time, he enjoyed singing karaoke and was an avid cook.  Truly a man that marched to his own drumbeat, Stacey will be deeply missed by all who loved him and who’s lives he touched.  He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Carnell Barnard.

He is survived by his mother, Judy Rhodes of Glennville; lifelong friend, David DeLoach of the Sandhills; father, Eddie Holland of Glennville; grandparents, Marynell Barnard of Glennville and Doris (David) McKinney of NC; sister, Ann Marie (Wayne) Strickland of Vidalia; nephew, Dalton Terrell of Savannah; niece, Madison (Alex) Reynolds of Dallas, TX; great niece, Lyla Reynolds.

The family will receive friends beginning at 11:30am on Saturday, January 7, 2023, with the funeral services to follow at 1:00pm from the Chapel of Glennville Funeral Home with Reverend Stuart Bland officiating.
