Steven "Scott" Stripling age 56 of Glennville was born on October 10, 1967, in Klamath Falls, Oregon and passed away on January 14, 2024, in Savannah, Georgia. He was a devoted husband, loving father and cherished grandfather. Scott dedicated his career to Claxton Cold Storage and proudly served the company for many years. In his personal life, Scott resided in Glennville for twenty years with his beloved wife Glenda Stripling. They shared a wonderful journey together filled with love, laughter, and beautiful memories. Scott had several hobbies that brought him fulfillment. He had a passion for fishing. Whether it was casting a line in a nearby pond or river, Scott found solace and contentment on the water. One of Scott's greatest joys in life was spending quality time with his grandchildren. He derived immense happiness from taking family camping trips and teaching his grandkids how to fish. Additionally, he was skilled in woodworking, using his creativity to craft beautiful pieces that displayed his talent and love for craftsmanship. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harlice and Leona Metzker Stripling Sr.
He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Glenda Stripling of Glennville; children, Mary McMahan of Glennville, Amanda Driggers of Glennville, and Melinda Haygood of Lake Wells, Florida; siblings, Mae Alexander of Klamath Falls, Oregon, Jay (Margarita) Stripling of Wesley Chapel, Florida, and Billy (Cindy) Stripling of Klamath Falls, Oregon; grandchildren, Austin McMahan, Sierra McMahan, Alexis McMahan, Alice Driggers, Travis Haygood, and Rylee Haygood; also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
