Sylvania

Mr. Talmadge Jones, age 82 left his earthly home to journey to his heavenly home on June 23, 2017. He was born on May 13, 1935 in Millhaven, GA. to the late Rev. Mims and Beatrice Jones and was educated in the Screven County Public School system. He was united in Holy Matrimony to Martha Burgess Jones for 49 years, who preceded him in death. Mr. Talmadge was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church where he served faithfully on the Deacon Board and he was also a member of the Mason Lodge #433. He was preceded in death by his sister, Bernice Jones Cooper.

He leaves to cherish, two step-sons, Jimmy Pierce of Sylvania and Willie (Dolene) Pierce of Savannah; daughter, Yvette Roberts of Sylvania and a daughter he raised as his own, Sandra (Timothy) Adams of Sylvania; brother, Willie (Francis) Jones,  eleven grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted 12:00pm, Saturday, July 1, 2017 at Bethlehem Baptist Church, 1350 Millhaven Road in Sylvania. Burial will be private.
