Reidsville

Reidsville,

Tammy McLeod Rivera, age 59, passed peacefully on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta surrounded by her loving family.  She was born and raised in Reidsville and has spent nearly all of her life here.  Known for her work ethic and dedication, she was a trusted and cherished staff member at Environmental Wood Products. In her free time, you could often find her helping others, spending her Saturday’s visiting yard sales, and spending time with her sons and grandchildren.  She was known to be selfless, loving, and compassionate, and no one knew that side of Tammy better than her family and friends. Time spent with her children and grandchildren made the spark in her eyes shine.  Loved by all who knew her, she will leave a void that no one can replace however her legacy of love and selfless altruism will never be forgotten. She is preceded in death by grandparents, George and Leila McLeod; her mother, Jeanette McLeod Sikes; brother, Jimmy Sikes.

She is survived by her children, Travis Lee Rogers and spouse Sarah Tolbert of Reidsville and Richard Trey Rogers and spouse Natali Escobar of Rochester, MN; siblings, Dean and Karen McLeod, Ronnie and Lynn McLeod, and Sybil and James Maund all of Reidsville, Brenda and Leland Beecher of Ludowici and Paula and Lynn Morris of Thomson, GA; grandchildren, Talan and Bentley Rogers and Rylan Tolbert; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends beginning at 5:00pm on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 from the Chapel of Low Country Cremation and Burial with the Memorial funeral services to follow at 6:00pm with Brett Warren officiating and sharing scripture in Tammy’s memory.

The family asks for you to come as you are; just as Tammy would wish. In keeping with Tammy’s wishes, the family requests that any expressions of sympathy be made in the form of a donation to the Georgia Transplant Foundation 2201 Macy Drive Roswell, GA 30076 or Tattnall C.A.R.E.S Post Office Box 2356 Reidsville, GA 30453; both organizations were dear to Tammy’s heart.
