Thomas John Pfluger, Sr.

Thomas J. Pfluger, Sr., age 72, passed away Saturday, March 29, 2014 at Community Hospice House in Vidalia, Georgia.  The New York native was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and worked with the New York City Transit Authority before moving to Reidsville 40 years ago.  As a resident of Reidsville, he worked a number of years for the Department of Corrections at the Georgia State Prison and later worked with the Tattnall County Sherriff’s Office.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Mary Daly Pfluger; sister, Patsy Pfluger and two brothers, Doug and Edward Pfluger.

Tom is survived by his sons, Thomas J. Pfluger of Kansas and Doug Pfluger of Reidsville; daughter, Marie Wallace of Ft. Myers, Florida; brothers, Richie and Bobby Pfluger of New York and Johnny Pfluger of Vidalia; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin 6:00pm, Monday, March 31, 2014 from the Reidsville chapel of Bradley B. Anderson Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 am, Tuesday, April 1, 2014 from the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
