Timothy Allen Rich

Timothy “Tim” Allen Rich, age 64, passed away on December 18, 2019 after a brief illness at Meadows Regional Medical Center in Vidalia.  Born May 23, 1955 in Savannah to Harry Dean and Maggie Lee Price Rich, he spent much of his life in Tattnall County.  During his working years, Tim was a truck driver for Werner Enterprises.  He logged millions of miles seeing this country that he so loved.  In his free time, you could find Tim fishing or watching Nascar.  It is often said that you can tell a person’s heart by the way they treat animals; in Tim’s case, he had a huge heart.  His love for animals was evident throughout his life and most recently his newest puppy, Stonewall Jackson (a chocolate lab) whom he loved as much as any person.  He truly was a man that would give you anything he had or help you in any way he could; he will be deeply missed by all that had the opportunity to meet him.  Tim was preceded in death by his parents, daughter in law, Amy Lynn, brother in laws, Ronald Fountain and Jeff Evans.

He is survived by his son, Wesley (Stacy) Lynn of Reidsville; sisters, Susan (Ronnie) Thomas of Reidsville and Donna Evans of Collins; mother of his son, Karen Rich Inglett of Collins; special great nephew, Case Fountain; six grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at 2:00pm on Friday, December 20, 2019 at Collins Baptist Church with the funeral services to follow at 3:00pm with Reverend David Lamm officiating.  Interment will follow in the Little Flock Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Devan Fountain, Colt Fountain, Donald Wrenn, Alan Davis, Jimmy Moser and Wesley Lynn.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ray Driggers and Tommy Moser.

Memorials may be given to the Tattnall County Animal Shelter.
