Tommie L. Altman, age 85 passed away Sunday, April 11, 2021 at Community Hospice. She was born on February 22, 1936 in Toombs County to Joseph Rhett and Dessie Okella Spivey Martin. She and her husband, of more than 50 years, established a long running Altman’s Insurance business in Vidalia. She had been retired for 23 years. Her passion, was gardening, from design, coordination, to fruition, along with crocheting, and reading. She is preceded in death by her husband, James H. Altman and her grandson, Shane Williams.

She is survived by her children, Lucinda Miller and Patricia Harris; grandchildren, Jamie May, Shannon Everhart, Damien May, Kimberly Clark, Pam McElhenney, Tom McElhenney; great-grandchildren,  Victoria Everhart, Landon Everhart, Ryland May, Trey Wingate; two beloved nieces, Wanda Hallman and Ruth Harden.

No public services will be held.
