Tony Oliver

Mr. Tony Oliver, age 71, passed away Friday, August 2, 2019 at his residence under the care of Affinis Hospice.  He was born August 11, 1947 in Reidsville to Roger Lewis and Oneida Johnson Oliver. He had lived in Collins most of his life.  Tony had worked as a Correctional Officer with the Georgia State Prison, a Lineman with Canoochee Electric, and head of maintenance at Tattnall Memorial Hospital.  He was also a Poultry Grower for over 30 years. He loved fishing, hunting and was a member of the Flatwoods Hunting Club. He was of the Baptist Faith and preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Angel Oliver.

Tony is survived by his wife of 33 years, Adel Oliver of Collins; son, Anthony (Marshella) Oliver of Swainsboro; sisters, Lessie Mae (Larry) Collins and Naomi (Ray) Hightower all of Collins; grandchildren, Marshall Oliver, Wes Kirkland and Heather Roberson all of Swainsboro; 2 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

The family will receive friends beginning at 6:00pm on Sunday at the funeral home.  Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00am Monday, August 5, 2019 at the Chapel of Low Country Cremation and Burial with the Reverend Gilbert Womack officiating.  Interment will follow in the Little Flock Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Deal, Shane Blalock, Wayne Eason, Bill Parker, Bobby Schwallenberg, and Brian Schwallenberg.
