Vera Tubbs, age 87 passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at Lumber City Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on December 25, 1935 in Columbia, South Carolina to Frank and Laura Campbell Wilson. Vera is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carl Tubbs; siblings, Melvin Wilson, James Wilson, Leroy Wilson, Frank Wilson “Junior”, Robert Wilson and Evelyn Carter.

She is survived by her children, David (Shelby) Roof of Lugoff, SC., James (Roxane) Roof of Elgin, SC., Dean (Nicole) Roof of Lugoff, SC., Rebecca (Jim) Odom of Baxley, GA; siblings, Lonnie (Pat) Wilson of Elgin, SC., JH Wilson of Elgin, SC., Nealer Dinkins of West Cola, SC; also survived by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held beginning at 1:00pm, Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Royal Pines Independent Holiness Church, 140 Wynette Way Columbia, SC. 29229 with the Reverend Nancy Brazell officiating.
