Vina Elois (Lewis) Gregory

Mrs. Vina Elois Gregory age 83 passed away Friday, September 13, 2013 at the Ogeechee Area Hospice Inpatient Center surrounded by her family.  The Hazlehurst native had lived many years in Savannah.  After retiring from Kmart, Mr. and Mrs. Gregory moved to North Carolina for nine years before moving to Reidsville in 1997.  She was a faithful member of the Reidsville Baptist Church and is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Mr. Leland R. Gregory, Sr.; parents, Calvin and Naomi Lewis; three brothers and four sisters.

She is survived by her children, Leland R. Gregory, Jr. of Pembroke, Phyllis and Russell Peth of Meldrin, Calvin and Beth Gregory of Guyton; brothers-in-law, Jason and George Gregory of West Green, GA; sisters-in-law, Dela Mae Lewis of Douglas, Marie Whitaker, Martha Teston, Ellen Steptoe all of Waycross; Lilly Mae Peacock of Bluffton, SC and Bessie Cline of Valdosta; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; one great great grandson; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will be from 3pm to 5pm on Sunday from the Reidsville Chapel.  Funeral services will be conducted 2:00pm Monday September 16, 2013 from the Reidsville Baptist Church with the Reverend Steve Miller officiating.  Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery in Savannah.

Pallbearers will be Scott Gregory, Ben Gregory, David Peth, Clint Peth, Matt Gregory, James Cowart, Brandon Rogers and Stephen Crann

Honorary Pallbearers will be Apphia Sunday School Class and the Deacons of the Reidsville Baptist Church.
