Walfrido Santos Fonseca

Mr. Walfrido Santos Fonseca, age 68, passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at Fairview Hospital in Dublin.  He was born in Cuba on October 12, 1953 to Remigro Fonseca and Hilda Rodriquez and had lived in Reidsville most of his life.  Wolf was a hard worker, working for the City of Reidsville, Tattnall County Board of Commissioners, Triangle J, Wahl Timber and Hill Shopping Center.  In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, playing Mario, and visiting his family in Florida.  He is a member of the Reidsville Baptist Church and is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Rosie Fonseca of Reidsville; children, Tammy Phillips Atef of Savannah, Remigio M. Fonseca, Sr. of Cochran, and Rosaleen Benhke of Alabama; siblings, Dagoberto Manresa and Mireya Manresa Santos both of Miami, Roberto Fonseca, Ricardo Fonseca, Omar Fonseca, and Luis Fonseca all of Tampa; 13 grandchildren; 8 grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 18, 2022 at the funeral home beginning at 6:00pm.  Funeral services will be conducted 12:00pm on Monday, September 19, 2022 from the Chapel of Low Country Cremation and Burial with Reverend Jeffery Barnard officiating.  Interment will follow in the Wilds Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Remigio Mano Fonseca, Jr., Devin Bohler, Greg Reynolds, Carlos Guzman, Tray River, and Donnie Phillips.
