Mr. Wendell L. Oliver age 75, passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at his residence surrounded by his family and under the care of Affinis Hospice.  The Tattnall County native had lived in Collins most of his life.  He was retired from the construction business.  He loved fishing, dove hunting, and dirt track racing.  He attended the Lighthouse Pentecostal Holiness Church and was preceded in death by his wife of 55yrs, Carolyn Oliver; parents, Ivy and Dorothy Oliver; and brothers, Hugh Oliver, Calvin Oliver, and Wallace Oliver.

He is survived by his children, Marty (Diane) Oliver of Lyons and Ronnie (Stacey) Oliver of Collins; brother, Kenneth (Brenda) Oliver of Collins; sisters, Patsy (Ed) Driggers and Marlene (Roy) Sanders all of Collins, and Linda Mae (Al) Hodges of Reidsville; grandchildren, Lane (Jackie) Oliver, Dane (Tabetha) Oliver, Jamie Oliver, Kaleigh (Lyle) Odom, and Chloe Oliver; eleven great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends beginning at 6:00pm on Thursday from the funeral home.  Funeral services will be conducted 10:00am Friday, July 29, 2016 from the Chapel of Bradley B. Anderson Funeral Home & Crematory with the Reverends Greg Smith and Kenny Edwards officiating.  Interment will follow in the Reidsville City Cemetery.
