Will James Powers, age 58 passed away Sunday, August 6, 2017 at his residence surrounded by his loving family and under the care of Heartland Hospice. He was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather and uncle. He was a friend to all who always wore a smile displaying his infectious sense of humor. One could not be in his presence and not laugh and smile. He owned and operated Powers Painting. Will was an avid outdoorsman who loved taking his son, Lewis and his nephews’ deer hunting, fishing, crabbing and camping. He enjoyed growing a garden every year with his wife, Tommie and he loved tending to his three dogs, Jr, Sarabi, Baby Girl along with his fish, chickens, turkeys, geese, and countless squirrels and birds that he kept well fed in his yard. The only thing he loved more than hunting and fishing was spending alone time with his loving wife, Tommie cuddling and watching Gun Smoke and NASCAR. He was preceded in death by his parents, Will and Juanita Powers; brother, Gene Powers. He loved life, lived it passionately and will be missed deeply.

He is survived by his wife, Tommie Goddard Powers; children, Tenise Lynn Jamison, Lewis Eugene Powers, Cassandra Nicole Anderson, Taura Michelle Valdez; grandchildren, Jacquelyn Miah Jamison, Jaden Cheyanne Anderson, Kaden James Valdez; sisters, Marie Bowen and Teresa Carmichael; His favorite little buddy "Jr" his dog; Also survived many beloved, nephews and other family members.

A Celebration of Life, grill out & BBQ will be held beginning at 2:00pm, Saturday, August 19, 2017 at his home, 108 Pinewood Road in Brunswick, until the last ribs are eaten!!
