William Chance Buckner
Born November 21, 1993 – Transitioned September 11, 2021
It was not by “chance” that William Chance Buckner entered the world at 7:21 p.m. on Sunday, November 21, 1993 in Atlanta, Georgia just in time for the Thanksgiving holiday.
The kindest spirit to all who knew him, William grew up in Powder Springs, Georgia and later Claxton, Georgia where he graduated from Tattnall County High School in 2012. He attended Georgia Southern University and East Georgia State College where he pursued his interest in Computer Science.
An avid gamer and saxophonist, a lover of music, he married his true love Christina Hopkins on January 18, 2018.
He leaves to mourn, his wife, Christina Buckner; parents Jacquilin Reeves-Reynolds and Joseph Reynolds (biological father Donald L Buckner preceded him in death); grandmother Betty J. Kennon Buckner; sisters Avidahn Buckner and Alena Reynolds; brothers Tavarus Fleming, Jarrett Reynolds and Christian Reynolds; in addition to a plethora of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and extended family who all love him dearly.
The 9th Grandchild of the 9th Child of Louise & William Reeves
This in itself is unique!
But William was unique in his own way. He was the most innocent and naïve person in the world. But many family members had their special memories of him, and I would like to share some of them with you:
To start, almost everyone remembers his love of dinosaurs and how irritated they would get when he mimicked their sound. We all wish we could hear those sounds just one more time.
Memorial funeral services will be conducted 2:00pm on Friday, September 17, 2021 from the Reidsville Church of God with the Reverend William Prince officiating.
