William Michael Harrelson

Ailey, GA

William Michael Harrelson, age 62, passed away on Thursday, March 2, 2023, at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah after a short illness.  He was born on March 10, 1960, in Tampa Florida to the late Bill and Lillian Irene Powell Harrelson.  His profession as an experienced electrician and plumber had him serve countless homes and businesses in the Toombs/Montgomery County area during his time living in the area.  Always hardworking, William also knew how to unwind and relax.  He relished anything outdoors, and he could often be found hunting, fishing, or camping out.  William was also known to turn a wrench or two as he dabbled in automotive repairs.  Perhaps the only thing in this world he loved more was the time he spent with his family, during which time you could usually find him “manning the grill”.  A dedicated family man that loved life, and all that God blessed him with, he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.  He is preceded in death by his parents, a sister, and a brother.

Left to cherish a lifetime of memories is his wife, Karen Harrelson of Ailey; three sons, Jonah Street of Augusta, Greg Fields of Lyons, and Jared Fields of Ailey; seven grandchildren; two sisters, Connie Harrelson of Lyons, and Loree Colson of Lyons; several nieces, nephews, and countless friends made along life’s journey also survive.

The family is planning a memorial service to honor William’s life later in the summer.
