Mr. William “Bill” Steele, age 60 passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2017 after a long illness.  He was born in Memphis, Tennessee to the late Emory “Dave” and Willie Mae Jones Steele.  Bill resided in Glennville with his loving wife, Peggy for the past 15 years.  Bill was baptized of the Episcopal Faith. He attended Bradwell Institute and Georgia Tech. Bill was a Certified Automotive Technician, a car guy and a world traveler who loved the Gulf of Mexico.

He is survived by his wife, best friend, and caregiver Peggy Ann Steele; two children, Kelly and Derek Steele of Rome, GA; two brothers, Bryan (Lee) Steele of Gum Branch, GA. and Robert Steele of Hinesville, GA; niece, Jennifer Steele; nephew, Patrick Steele of Norcross, GA; Bill’s final months and days were spent at home remembering and celebrating life with wife Peggy, cat Louie, family, and friends, Mary and Jimmy Coalson; niece, Mary Wamsley, great- niece, Brianna Walker, Denny and Debbie Durrence, Corey Jackson, James Caldwell, Denom and Mirjam Ward; three nephews/parade runners, Caleb, Aden, and Brendon.

The family sends much appreciation to the Spanish Oaks Hospice Team, Tattnall C.A.R.E.S, and the Wallace Jarriel Family at Dry Branch Farms.

A Private Service will be held at Turtle Beach, Florida.
