William "Bill" David Riggs

William D."Bill" Riggs, age 72 passed away Monday, August 5, 2019 at his residence surrounded by his loving family and under the care of Spanish Oaks Hospice.  He was born February 21, 1947 in Savannah to Embry and Allie Marion Sharpe Riggs and was reared in Reidsville and Jacksonville.  He lived most of his life in California where he was in the trucking industry.  Bill enjoyed water skiing, fishing, shooting pool, and hunting.  He was of the Baptist Faith and is preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Virginia and Carolyn Riggs.

He is survived by his son, Daniel Riggs of Sherman Oaks, CA; brothers, Charles Riggs of Reidsville and Jimmy Riggs of Jacksonville, FL; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted 11:00am Thursday, August 8, 2019 at the Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Dr. Artis Carswell officiating.  The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00am at the Cemetery.

Low Country Cremation and Burial is serving the Riggs family.
