Wilma Marie (Oden) Ambrose

Claxton,

Wilma Ambrose age 79, passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at the Ogeechee Area Hospice Inpatient Center in Statesboro.  The Missouri native was reared in Monee, Illinois and lived all of her adult life in Claxton. She had worked at the Claxton Nursing Home and was a babysitter for many children in Evans County.  Mrs. Wilma was a member of Eastside Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Ambrose and a grandson, Terrill Ambrose, Jr.

She is survived by her children, Steve (Cherryl) Ambrose of Glennville, Terrill (Angie) Ambrose of Collins, Bruce (Joy) Ambrose of Macclenny. FL, and Bonnie Driggers of Claxton; seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will begin 6:00pm on Wednesday from the Calvary Baptist Church in Claxton.  Funeral services will be conducted 3:00pm on Thursday October 3, 2013 from the Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Marty Walker and Dr. Matt Braddy officiating.  Interment will follow in the Brewton Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Sammy Duncan, Chris Ambrose, Nathan Driggers, Larry Sailor, Micheal Davalos,and Brent Gaither
