Collins,
Mrs. Wilma Jean Hightower Hutcheson, age 83, passed away Monday, November 22, 2021 at Oxley Park Health and Rehab surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Collins on December 13, 1937 to Jim Roe and Sweeter Hightower and had lived in Tattnall County most of her life. Mrs. Wilma Jean had worked at Tattnall Health Care for many years. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of Collins First Baptist Church and is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lloyd Hutcheson; grandson, Christopher Lynn and her siblings, Roe Hightower, Ray Hightower and Louie Hightower.
She is survived by her children, Jerry (Angel) Lynn of Graniteville, SC, Janet (Tony) Hutcheson of Collins, Charlene (Perry) Price of Augusta, Heidi (Steve) Edwards of Reidsville, and Helga (JR) Lowery of Richmond, Miss; brother, Larry (Carolyn) Hightower of Collins; father of her children, Charles Lynn of Augusta; 12 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 27, 2021 beginning at noon with the funeral services to follow at 1:00PM from the Chapel of Low Country Cremation and Burial with Dr. Jim Patterson officiating. Interment will follow in the Little Flock Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Mathew Scott Lynn, Jarrod Hutcheson, Tony Hutcheson, Jr, Tim Jones, James Center, and JB Merritt.
Low Country Cremation and Burial is serving the Hutcheson family.
